Advertising Websites, The Best Tools to Use
Website advertising can be a grueling task. Finding the best solutions for
advertisement never seems to be easy. Well, not until one has reached the more experienced portions of net
marketing anyway. Some of the best net marketers know that advertising for a website doesn't have to be expensive,
but usually does require some sort of bi-weekly, monthly, or annual payment plan. Traffic exchanges can be
effective for getting impressions to a web location, but they don't serve well for getting unique visitors, or even
for gaining ad revenue.
In fact, in most cases traffic exchanges, unless certain ones are used, will cause problems for ones traffic. For
example, a general traffic exchange may do well if it also operates as a social networking website, but will likely
cripple revenue growth if it is not.
This is how ad revenue is gained. When certain ad placement tools such as Google Adsense, or Info-links are used,
the site that tracks these links will track how long the viewer stays, and on some levels; how active the viewer
is. PPC ads will not be tracked for revenue, especially by Google Adsense if the user isn't active, or doesn't
click. Even still, when using Adsense, it's important to note that using traffic exchanges is against the T.O.S
policy.
Traffic exchanges usually won't get a net builder very far as far as traffic or revenue growth is considered. A web
advertiser will need what is called Target Marketing in order to gain any significant traffic on the net. Remember,
it's always better to have one hundred active views to your web content, then one hundred thousand views to all of
the web pages you can send those viewers to if they don't remain active. One hundred active views are more likely
to produce a revenue return because each of their activities will be tracked, while one hundred thousands viewers
will only be looking at the web page for about ten seconds and then they will leave the page. This decreases the
bounce rate, and produces no revenue.
A great way to gain in target marketing is to use a social networking website. One very effective website to use
when marketing your site is Facebook. Facebook provides millions of potentially active viewers to your web content.
Even still, Facebook will give a user tools for ad development and placement directly on the Facebook web site.
Using Facebook, you will have access to what is called PPC ads. PPC, or Pay-Per-Click, ads will be effective for
two reasons. They will let you choose how much you will pay for your ads, and provide a much higher unique view
rate for your website content. Also, graphics will be available as well, and an entire effective ad package can be
bought for 25 dollars; even lower depending on how much traffic one desires.
The secret to gaining quality traffic on the net will be through PPC ads. However, the odds of getting a high
traffic rate will increase, when SEO is applied. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. This is using certain
keywords that will direct views from the search engines to your website(s). Ultimately, having a high SEO (or
search engine page rank) will be the goal every web builder should strive to achieve. There are companies that can
be found on the net that will increase the level of SEO on ones web page that will begin to drive traffic from the
search engines to that very site. However, they can be very expensive. And for the single web owner who wouldn't be
able to shove out several hundred, or even several thousand dollars a month will be better off learning these
keywords through the various sites that will aid in keyword and link display development for free.
Web traffic building will be a difficult task to accomplish over the time that it will take to build the website in
question. Even still, it can also be costly. However, with free website creation tools that can be found on the
internet, web building costs should be cut short. The use of traffic exchanges will benefit the beginning net
marketer, but won't do much good in the long run. Social networking web sites will do a superb job of building
website traffic over time, and will be more likely to build up unique visitors. However, these sites may be costly
if one hasn't got the necessary expenses to spare. But this shouldn't be too much of a problem if the user manages
web marketing expenses well.
